Wednesday, November 20th, 5:00-5:45 p.m. Poetry Reading, followed by Q&A

Richard Harrison will read poems from Hero of the Play, a book that tries to see how far the metaphors of hockey, and the sensibility of its language could go to making poems not just about the game, travel, family relationships, and male/female politics.

Thursday, November 21th, 11:00-11:50 a.m. Poetry Craft Workshop, followed by Q&A

Richard Harrison will give a craft talk on exploring language acquisition through poetry. His book, Big Breath of a Wish, meditates on his infant daughter Emma’s speech-formative years from birth till age four.
