Richard Harrison, Fall 2013

Please come out and enjoy two distinct poetry events with Richard Harrison, on the Virginia Wesleyan College campus with the first events of our 2013-2014 VWC Poet-in-Residence Series:

Wednesday, November 20th, 5:00-5:45 p.m. Poetry Reading, followed by Q&A

Richard Harrison will read poems from Hero of the Play, a book that tries to see how far the metaphors of hockey, and the sensibility of its language could go to making poems not just about the game, travel, family relationships, and male/female politics.

Neil Britton Art Gallery (enter via Hofheimer Library, 1st floor)

(event FREE to all)

Thursday, November 21th, 11:00-11:50 a.m. Poetry Craft Workshop, followed by Q&A
