Essay #2

Who?

You, of course!

What?

Six to seven (6-7) full pages of polished non-fiction prose in standard Eng105 formatting (12pt, Times New Roman Font, 1” margins top/bottom/left/right, paragraph spacing “0” bef/after…) and conforming to current MLA style.

Please address one or more of the questions located at the following webpage: <http://storycorps.org/great-questions/>

Where?

In class, at home, in the library, on your tablet computer word processor in the coffee shop … you get the idea.

When?

September 10th—October 20th, 2015. (NB: There will be numerous due dates within this time for scaffolding assignments.—Think: Bridge under construction!)

Why?

To learn to think (analytically, critically, deeply, creatively, multi-layered…) about your life and to express your ideas and experiences in a clear and engaging way with examples and illustration.

How?

Put forward your best effort in class and on your own every time with focus and determination, come to class on-time, every time (duh?), do the scaffolding assignments on-time, every time (makes sense…), arrive at our individual, small group, and office hour appointments on-time, every time (I sense a pattern developing…), and please ask any questions you have to me or the Writing Center early and often! (FWIW: I don’t think I’ve ever had a student do all of these things without succeeding. A bunch of years. Lots of students. Varying abilities. You do the math.)
